Netrokona, Oct 14 (V7N) — Sarjis Alam, the Chief Organizer of the National Citizens Party (NCP) for the northern region, has said that there will be “no safe exit” for anyone without the implementation of the July Charter.
He made the remarks while speaking at a district organizational coordination meeting held in Netrokona on Tuesday (October 14) morning.
Sarjis Alam said, “From the words and actions of some advisors, it appears that they are trying to secure a safe exit by holding elections. But this will not be allowed to happen.”
He further cautioned that if there is any delay in establishing the legal framework, implementation process, or visible progress in the trial outlined in the July Charter, it could impact the upcoming elections, potentially leading to their postponement.
Clarifying the party’s stance, he added, “The NCP does not believe in delaying elections. However, if elections are held with a voter-centric mindset that ignores the aspirations of the people, the NCP will not support such a process.”
