Dhaka, Oct 23 (V7N) — Rakibul Islam Rakib, President of Nationalist Chhatra Dal, has urged student organizations to work for student rights rather than personal gain. Speaking at a coordination meeting of the Bangladesh Democratic Chhatra Sansad on Thursday, Rakib said, “Running after money means deviating from ideals and moving away from principles.”
He emphasized that Chhatra Dal has always stood by the July fighters and will continue to do so. Rakib called on students to remain vigilant to ensure that the spirit of the July-August movement does not fade.
Rakib also criticized certain student organizations for aligning with the Awami League and Chhatra League, saying they are engaging in secretive and hypocritical politics. He urged students not to compromise on issues concerning the Awami League and Chhatra League.
