Dhaka, Oct 29 (V7N)- The People's Rights Council has accused the interim government of giving undue importance to Jamaat-e-Islami and the National Citizens Party (NCP) at the expense of other political parties. The statement was made by PRC President Nurul Haque Nur at a publication event at the National Press Club on Wednesday (October 29) afternoon.

Nur said that Dr. Yunus is being criticized for favoring three political parties today, causing the People's Rights Council to be classified as Category B and C. He questioned why the government has prioritized Jamaat and NCP over other parties, despite BNP having run the state multiple times.

He urged other political parties to avoid creating new political divisions or crises for personal interests and emphasized the importance of keeping the reform agenda on track.

Nur also called for national elections to be held in January, warning that further delays would complicate issues related to justice and reforms. He alleged that current reforms are being purposefully diverted in a different direction.
