Dhaka, Nov 04 (V7N) – The National Citizens Party (NCP) has confirmed that it will not field any candidate against BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia in the upcoming 13th National Parliament election. The decision was confirmed by the party’s Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari.

The announcement follows the BNP’s declaration of primary candidates for 237 constituencies on Monday (November 4). According to the list, Khaleda Zia will contest from Feni-1, Dinajpur-3, and Bogra-7 constituencies.

Meanwhile, NCP Joint Convener Sarwar Tushar stated that the party plans to contest 300 seats in the election, with the names of approximately 100 candidates to be announced within this week.

This decision reflects a strategic move by the NCP to support BNP’s leadership in key constituencies while contesting elsewhere in the country.
