Jhenaidah, Nov 08 (V7N) — Rashed Khan, General Secretary of the People’s Rights Council, has alleged that the government is reluctant to hold national elections and is instead giving consolation messages to political parties.

He made the remarks at a discussion titled “State Reforms and the Upcoming National Parliament Elections” in Kaliganj, Jhenaidah on Saturday (November 8).

Rashed questioned whether the government has any alternative plans despite repeatedly speaking about elections. He also claimed that fair elections are not possible under the current administration, noting that necessary procedures and preparations required for free and transparent elections are not apparent.
