Dhaka, Nov 23 (V7N)- Leaders of the National Citizens Party (NCP) held a meeting with visiting Bhutanese Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay on Sunday morning (November 23). The meeting took place at the hotel where the Bhutanese premier is staying during his two-day state visit to Bangladesh.
NCP convener Nahid Islam and several senior party leaders were present during the courtesy meeting. However, details of the discussions between the NCP leadership and the Bhutanese prime minister were not disclosed.
Earlier on Saturday morning, Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay arrived in Dhaka for a two-day official visit. Later that afternoon, Bangladesh and Bhutan signed two memorandums of understanding—one on cooperation in the health sector and another on enhancing internet connectivity—in the presence of Principal Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus and the Bhutanese Prime Minister.
