Dhaka, Nov 27 (V7N) — BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia is currently under close observation in the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka. She is receiving treatment under a medical board formed for her care, along with local and foreign specialist doctors, confirmed her personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain.

Khaleda Zia was brought to Evercare Hospital from her Gulshan residence, Firoza, for a health check-up last Sunday night. On the advice of the medical board, she was subsequently admitted for necessary treatment and tests.

The BNP has requested prayers from the public for her recovery. The party also announced that special prayers will be held nationwide after Friday’s Jumma prayers.

Khaleda Zia, who suffers from arthritis, diabetes, kidney, lung, and eye complications, was last admitted to Evercare Hospital on October 15 for a health check-up. She continues to receive comprehensive medical care at the hospital.
