Dhaka, Nov 27 (V7N) — The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a new program titled ‘Plan for Nation Building’, scheduled to run from December 7 to 13. The announcement was made by Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed at an emergency press conference in Dhaka on Thursday.

Rizvi said the program is part of the party’s continuous movement to restore democracy and reform the state.

Earlier, during a discussion organized by DUCSU 90 and All-Party Student Unity on the 35th martyrdom anniversary of Dr. Shamsul Alam Milon, Rizvi criticized political leadership, stating that there is no difference between Hussain Muhammad Ershad and Sheikh Hasina.

He remarked, “There is no difference between the characters of Hussain Muhammad Ershad and Sheikh Hasina because they repeatedly said various things against each other, but at critical moments they came together. They stabbed democracy with a knife. Ershad robbed the bank, and Sheikh Hasina gave it the final shape.”

The BNP leader emphasized that the ‘Plan for Nation Building’ is aimed at mobilizing citizens and stakeholders to strengthen democratic principles and hold the state accountable.
