Dhaka, Dec 01 (V7N) — Doctors are making every possible effort to improve the health of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, said BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
Speaking to reporters at the BNP Chairperson’s Gulshan political office on Monday morning, Mirza Fakhrul said both local and foreign medical specialists are jointly overseeing her treatment. “Doctors are trying their best to ensure Khaleda Zia’s recovery,” he said, adding that people across the country are praying for her wellbeing.
Party Standing Committee member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain will provide detailed medical updates on Khaleda Zia, he added.
On the same day, former convener of the People’s Rights Council, Reza Kibria, officially joined the BNP.
Mirza Fakhrul said a “fair environment” is taking shape for upcoming national elections, which the government plans to hold in February. He expressed optimism about the future, stating that if the BNP returns to power, Bangladesh will become “democratic and economically prosperous.”
