Dhaka, Dec 18 (V7N) — Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections, senior leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), including Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, are holding a second round of discussions with 100 party-nominated candidates on Thursday.

A visit to the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan this morning revealed that candidates began arriving early. The meeting is scheduled to start at 11:00 am, while Tarique Rahman is expected to join the discussions at noon.

Party sources said the candidates will receive guidelines and strategic directions on various election-related issues, with a particular focus on campaign planning, code of conduct, and political messaging. Thursday marks the second day of the party’s three-day consultation program.

Earlier, BNP announced its candidates for 237 constituencies in the first phase. In the second phase, nominations for 36 additional seats were declared.

With these announcements, BNP has so far finalized candidates for 272 of the 300 parliamentary constituencies ahead of the national polls.
