Bogra, Dec 21 (V7N) – Nomination forms have been officially collected for BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman from the Bogra-6 (Sadar) constituency for the upcoming 13th National Parliament election.
The nomination form was collected from the Bogra Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Sunday at around 12:30 pm.
A five-member delegation of senior BNP leaders, led by Bogra District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha, collected the form from Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Taufiqur Rahman.
First-Time Parliamentary Contest
This will be Tarique Rahman’s first participation in a national parliamentary election.
During the previous BNP-led government (2001–2006), he served as the party’s Joint Secretary General. He was later elected Senior Joint Secretary General at the BNP’s National Council in 2009. Since 2018, Tarique Rahman has been serving as the Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
Party leaders described the move as politically significant ahead of the upcoming election.
