Dhaka, Jan 09 (V7N)- Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Imran Haider, paid a courtesy call on BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman on Friday afternoon.
The meeting was held at the BNP Chairperson’s political office in Gulshan, in the capital. Details of the discussion were not officially disclosed.
Imran Haider assumed office as Pakistan’s new High Commissioner to Bangladesh in August last year and has since been engaging with political and diplomatic stakeholders in the country.
Meanwhile, the BNP Standing Committee has called an emergency meeting at the party chairperson’s political office in Gulshan on Friday night. The meeting will be chaired by Tarique Rahman, party sources confirmed.
The agenda of the emergency meeting was not immediately known.
