Dhaka, Jan 20 (V7N) — Ambassadors from several Nordic countries and Russia paid separate courtesy calls on BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman at the party’s Gulshan office in the capital on Tuesday (January 20).
Ambassadors from Sweden, Denmark, and Norway participated in one meeting, while Russian Ambassador Alexander Grigorievich Khozin met the BNP chairman separately.
During the meetings, the ambassadors expressed their condolences on the death of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, conveying sympathy to Tarique Rahman and the party leadership.
The discussions also covered issues of mutual interest, including the overall political situation in Bangladesh, the environment surrounding the upcoming 13th National Parliament elections, and national security matters.
During the exchange, Tarique Rahman outlined the BNP’s vision and future plans for Bangladesh, highlighting the party’s stance on democratic governance and stability.
Party leaders were also present during the courtesy meetings.
