Dhaka, Feb 11 (V7N) — Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin has said that the Election Commission (EC) has ensured transparency in the vote-counting process and that any irregularities, disputes, or complaints will be addressed through legal procedures.
He made the remarks while briefing election observers and journalists at Hotel InterContinental in the capital on Wednesday morning.
The CEC said the Election Commission will closely monitor any irregularities during the voting and counting processes. He added that the EC is determined to hold a fair, acceptable, and participatory election.
The 13th National Parliament Election and referendum will be held across the country on Thursday (February 12). Voting will take place simultaneously in 299 parliamentary constituencies from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm using ballot papers and transparent ballot boxes.
