Dhaka, Feb 13 (V7N) — Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami failed to secure significant victories in the 13th National Parliament elections, with all of its top leaders and heavyweight candidates losing their contests.
Among those defeated were Mia Golam Parwar, AHM Hamidur Rahman Azad, and Mohammad Shishir Monir, a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court and former central secretary of Chhatra Shibir.

BNP candidate Mohammad Ali Asgar Lobi won by 2,702 votes, receiving 147,658 votes with the paddy sheaf symbol.
