Dhaka, Feb 16 (V7N) — Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Secretary General of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), visited Bangladesh Medical University (BMU) on Monday afternoon to inquire about the health of the party’s Health Affairs Secretary, Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Islam.

Mirza Fakhrul spent time with Dr. Rafiqul Islam in the cabin block of BMU, checking on his condition and discussing his health in detail.

Earlier, on Sunday, BNP Standing Committee member Dr. A. Dez M. Zahid Hossain had also visited Dr. Rafiqul Islam.

Dr. Rafiqul Islam was admitted to the hospital after falling ill on February 14. On Sunday, a 19-member medical board was formed to oversee his treatment.
