Dhaka, Jul 06 (V7N) — Dr. Zubaida Rahman, Vice President of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation and wife of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, has called on children to prepare themselves to become responsible citizens and contribute to building the Bangladesh of the future.
She made the remarks while visiting and exchanging views on child care and rehabilitation activities at a Department of Social Services facility in Tejgaon, Dhaka, on Monday.
During the visit, children from the government-run children's home welcomed Dr. Zubaida Rahman with dance, songs and cultural performances. She enjoyed the presentations and interacted with the children.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Zubaida Rahman said children are the future of the nation and the architects of tomorrow's Bangladesh.
"They are the future soldiers of nation-building. I hope they will devote themselves to education and excel in their respective fields, bringing pride and recognition to Bangladesh," she said.
She also stressed the importance of instilling honesty, discipline and moral values in children from an early age, saying these qualities are essential for developing responsible citizens and a prosperous nation.
