Dhaka, Aug 14 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a nationwide programme of doa and milad mahfil to mark the 82nd birthday of its late chairperson and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia.

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi announced the programme in a press release issued on Friday (August 14) morning.

According to the announcement, milad and doa mahfils will be held at party offices and mosques in Dhaka and across the country on Saturday (August 15).

The programmes will be organized by the BNP as well as its organs and affiliated and associate organizations at different levels. Party leaders, activists and supporters are expected to participate.

As part of the central programme, a milad and doa mahfil will be held at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan, Dhaka, at 11am on Saturday. Senior BNP leaders are scheduled to attend the event.

Similar programmes will be organized at party offices and local mosques in districts, metropolitan areas, upazilas and other parts of the country.

The BNP has urged its leaders, activists and supporters, along with members of its various organs and associate organizations, to participate in the programmes.
