Dhaka, Sep 08 (V7N)- BNP Acting Secretary General and Adviser to the Prime Minister Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said that various evil forces and conspirators have repeatedly attempted to undermine religious harmony in the country.

“Our unbreakable bond will last for generations. We participate in each other's religious worship and festivals,” he said.

Rizvi made the remarks on Tuesday (September 8) morning after laying wreaths and paying tribute to the members of the Hindu, Buddhist and Christian Welfare Trusts at the graves of former President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia at Zia Udyan in the capital.

He said the welfare trusts were established to address issues related to the respective religious communities.

“As a political party, BNP has ensured a place for everyone, and Ziaur Rahman established that principle,” Rizvi said.

He emphasized the importance of maintaining the country's longstanding religious harmony and unity in the face of attempts to create divisions among communities.
