Dhaka, Nov 02 (V7N)- The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has approved a two-member partial convening committee for its Dhaka Metropolitan North unit, appointing Shafiqul Islam Khan Milton as convener and SM Jahangir Hossain as member secretary.
The decision was announced in a press release signed by BNP Joint Office Secretary Muhammad Munir Hossain on Sunday, November 1.
According to the press release, the newly appointed committee has been instructed to form a full-fledged convening committee within the next two weeks.
The move comes after the BNP dissolved its previous Dhaka Metropolitan North committee on September 30.
The newly formed partial committee is expected to take steps to reorganize the party's organizational structure in the metropolitan north unit within the stipulated timeframe.
