Following their release from prison, the general secretary of Raipura Upazila BNP of Narsingdi, who was detained by law enforcement during the 12th National parliamentary elections, was warmly received by the Upazila BNP and its affiliated organizations.

In the presence of leaders and activists from various regions of the upazila, 143 persons, including general secretary of Karamukt Upazila BNP Abdur Rahman Khokon, were felicitated individually on Thursday afternoon in the Morjal area of Raipura Upazila by being garlanding with flowers.

Under the direction of heroic liberation warrior Hazrat Ali Bhuya, acting president of the upazila BNP, major guest at the reception was engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, co-editor of the BNP central committee's science and technology section.

Present were MN Zaman, the general secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan Freedom Fighters, Fazlur Rahman, the former vice president of the Juba Dal Central Committee, Golap Manju, the joint general secretary of the Tati Dal Central Committee, Idrich Ali Munshi, the convener of the BNP in Raipura Municipality, and general secretary Saiful Islam Palash.
