Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader stated that Bangladesh has the lowest recruitment quota among South Asian countries. Speaking at a briefing at the Awami League president's office, Quader noted that recruitment quotas in other South Asian nations are significantly higher. He criticized the anti-quota activists' demands as contradictory to the constitution and principles of governance, emphasizing that the quota law will continue as planned. Quader also reassured university teachers protesting over pension issues that their concerns would be addressed through dialogue.
