Nov 11, V7N-Tottenham Hotspur's head coach Ange Postecoglou accepted responsibility for his team’s inconsistent performances following their unexpected 2-1 home defeat to newly promoted Ipswich Town on Sunday. Despite recently eliminating Manchester City in the League Cup and securing a convincing 4-1 Premier League win over Aston Villa, Spurs stumbled in a 3-2 loss to Galatasaray in the Europa League on Thursday, only to be met with boos from home fans after Sunday’s Premier League setback. This victory marked Ipswich’s first Premier League win since April 2002.

Tottenham now sits 10th in the league table with 16 points from 11 games. Postecoglou acknowledged the inconsistency, stating, “It ultimately comes down to me and my approach…something I need to try and fix to help the players.” He dismissed the idea that fixture congestion was a significant factor, adding that fatigue wasn’t impacting their late-game performance.

On the injury front, both midfielder Pape Matar Sarr and striker Dominic Solanke left the match hurt, but Postecoglou was optimistic, saying Sarr suffered only a minor knock while Solanke jarred his knee but had wanted to play on. “Hopefully it is nothing serious,” he added.
