Los Angeles, Jun 13 (V7N) – After Mexico and Canada, the United States is set to host the third and final opening ceremony of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The curtain will rise on the American chapter of the tournament at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles at 6:00 am Bangladesh time on Saturday (June 13).

The United States will then begin its World Cup campaign against Paraguay at 7:00 am. Among the three co-hosts, Mexico opened the tournament with a victory, while Canada earned a draw in its first match. The United States will now be aiming for a winning start in front of its home supporters.

The opening ceremony will feature performances from several internationally renowned artists, including Katy Perry, Lisa, Future, Anitta, Rema and Tyla.

For the first time in World Cup history, the tournament's three host nations have staged separate opening ceremonies, creating a unique experience for football fans around the globe. Organizers say the initiative is designed not only to celebrate football but also to showcase the culture, heritage and creativity of each host nation on the international stage.

With the completion of the three grand opening ceremonies, attention now fully shifts to the 48-team tournament, the largest FIFA World Cup ever held.
