Philadelphia, Jun 20 (V7N) – Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Neymar will return to action in the Seleção's next FIFA World Cup group-stage match against Scotland, providing a major boost for the five-time world champions.
Neymar had been working to regain full fitness ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after recovering from injury. Although he returned to the Brazil squad, Ancelotti opted not to risk the star forward in Saturday's 3-0 victory over Haiti.
Brazil secured the convincing win without Neymar, but the team's medical staff have now cleared the 33-year-old to resume full training and return to competitive action.
Since rejoining the squad, Neymar had been limited to light running and individual fitness sessions as part of his rehabilitation programme. However, after receiving medical clearance, he is set to participate in full team training on Sunday.
Ancelotti confirmed that Neymar will be available for Brazil's final group-stage match against Scotland, where fans are expected to see the playmaker make his first appearance of the tournament.
The return of Brazil's all-time leading scorer is expected to strengthen the Seleção as they look to maintain their momentum and secure a place in the knockout stage.
