Paris, Oct 18 (V7N)- Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) continued their impressive winning run with a 3-1 comeback victory over Strasbourg in French Ligue 1 on Saturday, extending their winning streak to six matches across all competitions.

The victory came after PSG's confidence-boosting 4-2 win over Manchester City in the Champions League. It also moved Luis Enrique's side to the top of the Ligue 1 standings ahead of the remaining matches of their rivals.

With fatigue from the Champions League fixture in mind, Enrique made eight changes to his starting lineup. The reshuffled PSG side struggled to find its rhythm early in the match, allowing Strasbourg to take the lead in the first half through a deflected effort from Giovanni Reyna.

Enrique responded after the break by introducing five key players, and the changes quickly transformed the match.

PSG drew level when Illia Zabarnyi converted a cross from Ousmane Dembele, bringing the hosts back into contention.

The Parisian side then had an opportunity to take the lead from the penalty spot, but Dembele struck the post and missed the chance to put his team ahead.

The French forward soon made amends. In the 85th minute, Dembele fired a powerful low shot from around 16 yards to give PSG a 2-1 lead.

Strasbourg struggled to respond as PSG pressed for another goal. In stoppage time, Desire Doue controlled a pass from Torres and finished confidently to secure the 3-1 victory.

The result marked a significant turnaround for PSG, who had been 13th in the league standings after their opening three matches. Their latest win lifted them to the top of the table, strengthening their position in the title race.
