Paris, July 26 – The 33rd season of the Olympics, hailed as 'The Greatest Show on Earth,' is set to begin with a spectacular opening ceremony on Friday at 11:30 PM Bangladesh time. The event promises a dazzling display of culture, music, and pageantry as athletes from around the world gather to celebrate the start of the games.

The ceremony will feature the traditional parade of athletes, with 10,714 competitors representing 206 countries making their way along a 6-kilometer route on the Seine River. The parade will start with Greece, the birthplace of the Olympics, and conclude with the host nation, France.

Following the parade, the banks of the Seine will come alive with vibrant performances, including dance, music, and an eye-catching fireworks display. The event will also feature unique elements, such as submarines emerging from the river.

The opening program will be divided into 12 segments, showcasing the talents of 3,000 dancers, musicians, and entertainers. French music star Aya Nakamura is set to perform, along with a rendition of Titanic's "My Heart Will Go On" by Celine Dion.

Renowned theater director Thomas Jolly, who is overseeing the event, aims to highlight the cultural, linguistic, religious, and sexual diversity of France throughout the ceremony.

Security will be a top priority, with approximately 45,000 personnel deployed to ensure the safety of participants and spectators. The grand opening ceremony promises to set the stage for an unforgettable Olympic season.
