Dhaka, Sep 15 (V7N)– Bangladesh national cricket team’s head coach, Chandika Hathurusingha, has returned to Dhaka ahead of the team's much-anticipated tour of India. Hathurusingha arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday night, preparing to lead the Tigers in their upcoming matches.

The Bangladesh squad, led by Test captain Nazmul Hossain Shanto, is set to depart for Chennai at 1 PM on Sunday. The media department of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the team's travel schedule, with captain Shanto expected to address the media at the airport before departure.

Hathurusingha, fresh from a successful Test series victory against Pakistan, had taken a short break in Australia to spend time with his family. The head coach is now ready to guide his team for the India tour, which begins with the Test series.

The BCB announced a 16-member Test squad on September 12, with some notable inclusions and absences. Zaker Ali Anik, a fresh face, earned his call-up after impressive performances in domestic cricket. However, pacer Shariful Islam will miss out as he continues to recover from an injury.
