Real Madrid secured the top spot in the La Liga points table by defeating Girona by a huge margin of 4-0 goals. Carlo Ancelotti's team beat the second team in the table in the 'Vinicius-Bellingham-Rodrigo show' at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday night (January 10).

For more than three months, Girona had been breathing down Real Madrid's neck at the top of the table. But for the first time, Madrid crashed to Girona even in the second match. Girona lost 3-0 to Real Madrid last September. They lost twice in this season. Both of which are against Madrid.

Madrid took the lead in 6 minutes on the field. Konakuni scored a great shot from outside the box and Vinicius Jr. put Real ahead. Vinicius also contributed to the second goal in the 35th minute. This time Bellingham scored from his extended ball.

The 'Vinicius-Bellingham-Rodrigo Show' continued in the second half. In the 54th minute, Bellingham scored again with an assist from Vinicius. With this goal, Bellingham reached compatriot David Beckham. Now both of them have 20 goals in Real jersey. Beckham played 159 matches to score 20 goals, but Bellingham scored 20 goals in only 28 matches. Vinicius completed the hat-trick of assists in the 64th minute. Rodrigo sent his high ball into the net.

With this win, Carlo Ancelotti's side moved five points clear in the La Liga title race. At the end of 24 matches, Real's points are 61, Girona's are 56.
