Washington, Oct 29, (V7N) – An Instagram post dated October 27 claims that Kamala Harris is criticizing a knife company for selling "evil instruments," specifically highlighting a pocketknife featuring Donald Trump's name. The post includes a screenshot of what looks like a tweet from a media outlet, suggesting Harris has made repeated statements against the company.
However, this tweet is fabricated. The supposed Twitter account that shared it does not belong to a legitimate news outlet and hasn’t posted anything since 2012. Additionally, all of its previous posts were in Turkish, and it lacks a blue verification checkmark.
The Instagram post promotes the knife company, encouraging users to support it and includes a coupon code for a discount. Yet, there is no evidence that Harris ever criticized Tactical Blades or any knife manufacturer. The claim suggests she has made such criticisms multiple times, but no reputable news sources have reported this.
Harris has indeed focused on gun control as part of her political agenda, advocating for measures like bans on assault weapons and universal background checks. However, there is no credible connection between her gun control proposals and any comments about knives.
Previous false claims about Harris, including assertions that she would “end the Second Amendment,” have also been disproven. Efforts to reach Harris’s campaign and the Instagram user who shared the post for comments were not successful.
