NAIROBI, Dec 30, (V7N) - A tragic road accident in southern Ethiopia has claimed the lives of at least 66 people, according to the Sidama Regional Health Bureau. The incident occurred in the Eastern Zone at the Gelana bridge in Bona Zuria Woreda, Sidama state, approximately 300 kilometers south of the capital, Addis Ababa.
The health bureau reported that four injured passengers are receiving treatment at the Bona General Hospital. In a statement shared on Facebook, it extended condolences to the victims' families and promised to provide further details about the accident.
