The death toll from snowstorms, floods, and landslides ravaging Pakistan has surged to 36, with an additional 50 individuals reported injured. The grim update was reported by Pakistani news outlet The Nation on Monday, March 4.

Numerous natural disasters have wreaked havoc across different provinces of the country in recent days. Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Azad-Kashmir have borne the brunt of heavy rains and floods, exacerbating the already dire situation. Meanwhile, temperatures in Quetta plummeted below zero.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad-Kashmir, in addition to Balochistan's Swat Valley, have been inundated by floodwaters. However, the province of Balochistan appears to be the hardest hit, with an additional six fatalities reported in the region.

Local authorities have highlighted that the incessant rain has submerged most roads in the affected provinces, while hilly areas have been particularly susceptible to landslides. Consequently, rescue operations have been hampered by the challenging conditions on the ground.

As Pakistan grapples with the aftermath of these natural disasters, efforts to mitigate further damage and provide aid to affected communities remain ongoing amidst the ongoing crisis.
