The United States, in coordination with Jordan, has once again conducted an airdrop of aid to Gaza, providing much-needed food assistance to the region. This initiative, reported by the website of the US Department of Defense on Tuesday (March 5), underscores ongoing efforts to alleviate humanitarian crises in conflict-affected areas.

According to the US Ministry of Defense, the operation, conducted by the US Air Force, aimed to provide food aid to the valley, benefiting a total of 36,800 people in the second round of relief assistance. Additionally, the Jordanian Air Force also participated in providing relief aid on the same day. Jordan, extending its support to France and Egypt as well, announced the delivery of food products from eight planes, marking a significant contribution to the humanitarian efforts in Gaza.

Despite these efforts, concerns persist about the adequacy of aid in addressing the looming famine in the valley. The World Food Program has expressed apprehension that the current level of aid may not be sufficient to prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.

This joint initiative between the United States and Jordan underscores the importance of international cooperation in addressing humanitarian crises and providing essential support to vulnerable populations affected by conflict.
