Amsterdam, Apr 14 (V7N) – A massive protest in solidarity with Gaza took place in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, on Monday, according to NL Times.

During the demonstration, protesters stormed the main building of the University of Amsterdam, creating a tense and chaotic situation. The emergency exits were sealed, and all employees were forcibly evacuated from the premises. From inside the building, protesters displayed anti-Israel banners, intensifying the scene.

The protest, led primarily by university students, called for the severance of all institutional ties with Israel.

It took police at least five hours to bring the situation under control. Clashes between the protesters and security forces erupted during the standoff, resulting in multiple arrests.

The demonstration marks one of the most intense pro-Palestine movements in the Netherlands in recent times, reflecting growing global solidarity with Gaza amid the ongoing conflict.
