Tehran, June 13 (V7N) – Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has issued a stern warning to Israel, vowing a "severe response" to the recent attack on Tehran’s nuclear facilities. He declared that Iran would “definitely respond” to Israel’s aggression.

The warning came through a statement released by Iran’s state news agency IRNA on Friday (June 13). In the statement, Ayatollah Khamenei warned Israel to prepare for "bitter and painful consequences."

Tensions escalated dramatically after Israel launched a surprise military operation targeting key Iranian military and nuclear sites early Friday morning. Iranian media, citing security officials, confirmed that the Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, was killed in the attack. However, they also clarified that Ayatollah Khamenei remained unharmed.

The Iranian leadership has declared that Israel’s actions would not go unanswered, further intensifying fears of a broader regional conflict.
