Gaza, Aug 23 (V7N) – Israel’s relentless bombardment of Gaza has killed at least 71 Palestinians and injured 251 others within 24 hours, the Gaza Health Ministry confirmed on Friday, according to Anadolu Agency.
Israeli forces intensified assaults on Gaza City, where 37 people were killed. A school in Sheikh Redwan, being used as a refugee shelter, was bombed, leaving 12 dead. Strikes also hit the Tufah area, while an airstrike on a tent in Khan Younis claimed five lives, including four children.
Further attacks targeted the Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza and Jabalia Ala Balad in the north. Israeli gunfire also killed seven aid workers, according to local sources.
Meanwhile, Israel’s Defense Minister warned that Gaza City would be “completely destroyed” if Hamas refuses to accept ceasefire conditions.
Since November 2023, at least 62,263 Palestinians have been killed and 157,365 injured in Gaza due to Israeli military operations.
