Washington, Aug 25 (V7N) – US President Donald Trump has declared that the Gaza war will reach its “final end” within the next two to three weeks, addressing reporters on Monday.

“I think in the next two to three weeks you are going to have a final end to this war,” Trump said. He added, “It has to end, because the brutal death and loss of life is increasing along with hunger and other problems.”

Despite previous promises by the Trump administration to end the conflict, critics note that the US has continued supplying Israel with billions of dollars in military aid while resisting international efforts to recognize a Palestinian state.

Trump’s remarks came amid reports that at least 21 people, including six journalists, were killed in successive Israeli attacks on Nasr Hospital in Gaza, with journalists from Reuters and Al Jazeera among the casualties.

The president’s comments signal renewed US focus on ending the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, though past efforts have struggled to achieve lasting results.
