Beijing, Dec 31 (V7N) — China’s large-scale military drill, dubbed “Justice Mission 2025,” has drawn widespread attention in global politics, with analysts describing it as one of the largest and most effective military exercises in recent years.

Although Beijing has previously conducted military exercises in the South China Sea, observers say the Justice Mission drill marks a significant escalation. According to analysts, the exercise is aimed at preparing for the potential complete isolation of Taiwan in the event of conflict.

China has long regarded Taiwan as an inseparable part of its territory and has repeatedly warned that it possesses the capability to cut off the island from the rest of the world if necessary. Beijing has also stated that neither separatist movements nor foreign intervention would deter it from defending what it considers its sovereign territory.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said the exercise demonstrated the military’s readiness for real combat operations.

“Our army is fully capable of conducting operations at any time. This training highlights the military’s ability to engage in direct combat. Through live-fire drills, Taiwan separatists have been clearly warned of China’s strength,” Lin said.

The two-day ‘Justice Mission 2025’ exercise, conducted in the Taiwan Strait, focused on blocking Taiwan’s key ports, showcasing advanced weapons systems, and executing large-scale military maneuvers. The drills also sent a strong message against what Beijing described as foreign interference in the Taiwan issue.

Analysts say the exercise signals that China is increasingly willing to use direct military force if it deems its sovereignty threatened, further heightening tensions in the region.
