Russian authorities have announced that four suspects directly linked to the deadly terror attack at Crocus City Hall near Moscow will face life imprisonment under the country's anti-terror law. The announcement comes in the aftermath of the attack, which claimed the lives of 140 individuals and left 182 others injured, with 95 people still reported missing.

According to Russian investigative officials, the perpetrators utilized Kalashnikov assault rifles in the attack, unleashing a barrage of gunfire and explosions shortly before the scheduled concert of the rock group Picnic commenced. The terrorists targeted innocent concertgoers, resulting in chaos and panic as attendees rushed to escape the violence.

In response to the attack, Russian authorities have arrested a total of 11 individuals thus far, including the four suspects directly involved in carrying out the assault. All four suspects, identified as citizens of Tajikistan, were apprehended while attempting to flee across the Ukrainian border in the Bryansk region, southwest of Moscow.

Following their arrest, the suspects were brought to Moscow under heavy security and presented before the court last Sunday. They have been formally charged under Russia's anti-terror laws, with the maximum penalty being life imprisonment. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the attack.

Videos of the suspects' arrest and subsequent court appearances have circulated on social media, raising allegations of torture and mistreatment. Some videos purportedly show signs of physical abuse, including injuries such as missing ears and eyes, prompting concerns about the suspects' treatment while in custody.

Despite these allegations, Moscow's Public Monitoring Committee Executive Secretary, Alexei Malnikov, emphasized that the suspects would face severe punishment for their actions. Malnikov stated that they would spend the rest of their lives confined to small cells, reflecting on the gravity of their crimes and the suffering inflicted upon innocent Russian citizens.
