Washington, Mar 08 (V7N) – Donald Trump has stated that Iran is responsible for the recent airstrike on an elementary school in Minab, southern Iran.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday, Trump said, “We think it was Iran. Because their weapons are not very accurate. Their ammunition has no accuracy.”
Iran has reported that more than 165 students and staff were killed in the attack on a girls’ elementary school, with the majority of victims being students.
When questioned about reports suggesting US involvement in attacks on schoolchildren during the joint US-Israeli operations at the start of the conflict, Trump reiterated, “Based on what I have seen, it was Iran. Iran carried out that attack. The ammunition they used is very bad.”
However, US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth clarified that the incident is still under investigation, leaving the official assessment pending.
