Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has officially filed his nomination papers from Kerala's Wayanad constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Rahul submitted his nomination papers to the Wenard District Collector on Wednesday, April 3, marking a significant step in his electoral campaign.

Accompanied by senior party leaders, including sister Priyanka Gandhi and KC Venugopal, Rahul completed the nomination process by taking an oath to uphold the constitution. Prior to submitting his documents, Rahul embarked on a roadshow from Kalpetta to Civil Station, engaging with constituents and supporters along the way.

In the forthcoming elections, Rahul will face competition from BJP state president K Surendran and CPI leader Annie Raja in the Wenara Lok Sabha seat. Notably, in the 2019 elections, Rahul secured victory from this constituency with a substantial margin of over 400,000 votes, indicating strong support from the electorate.
