Apr 13 (V7N) – Donald Trump has strongly criticized the head of the Catholic Church, Pope Leo XIV, accusing him of being weak on crime and “terrible” in foreign policy.

In a post on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump said the Pope should avoid political commentary and focus on his religious responsibilities. He also said he does not support the Pope’s views on international security issues.

Speaking in an interview, Trump said, “We don’t want a pope who says it’s okay for Iran to have nuclear weapons. We don’t want a pope who says it’s okay for crime to happen in our cities. I’m not a big fan of Pope Leo. He’s a very liberal person and a person who doesn’t believe in fighting crime.”

The remarks came after the Pope’s recent statements during a Palm Sunday address at St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican, where he criticized war and called the Iran conflict “brutal.” Vatican City
