Jeddah, Apr 16 (V7N) — Shehbaz Sharif has held a key meeting with Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah as part of efforts to address the escalating tensions and ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

The meeting took place on Wednesday (April 15) during Sharif’s official visit to Saudi Arabia. According to analysts, the visit carries significant importance, particularly as a high-level Pakistani delegation is simultaneously engaged in diplomatic discussions in Iran.

During the talks, both leaders discussed strategies to prevent further escalation of the conflict and emphasized the importance of maintaining regional stability. However, detailed outcomes of the meeting have not yet been officially disclosed.

Sharif’s visit is seen as part of Pakistan’s broader diplomatic initiative to mediate amid rising tensions involving Iran, the United States, and Israel, as well as the ongoing crisis in Gaza Strip.

As part of his regional tour, the Pakistani Prime Minister is also expected to visit Qatar and Turkey, continuing efforts to promote dialogue and de-escalation across the region.
