Tehran, May 12 (V7N) — Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, has warned the United States that it must accept what he described as the “rights of the Iranian people” outlined in a 14-point proposal to resolve the ongoing conflict.
He said Iran is prepared for “all possible options,” according to a post shared on the social media platform X on Monday night (May 11), as reported by Tasnim News Agency.
Ghalibaf stated that any alternative approach by Washington would be “fruitless,” adding that continued delay would only increase the cost for the United States.
“The Iranian armed forces are fully prepared to respond strongly to any aggression,” he said, warning that miscalculations by adversaries would lead to serious consequences.
In another post, he reiterated that Iran’s military forces are ready to deliver a strong response to any hostile action, stressing that “wrong decisions always lead to wrong outcomes.”
The remarks come amid continuing regional tensions following the outbreak of conflict involving Iran and the United States earlier this year. According to earlier reports, a ceasefire has been in place since April 8, although instability in parts of the region, including Lebanon, continues.
