Kyiv, May 15 (V7N) – Russia has launched a drone attack on a United Nations aid convoy in the southern Ukrainian city of Kherson, according to local authorities and UN sources.

A video released on Thursday showed one of the UN vehicles coming under attack while carrying humanitarian assistance for civilians in the conflict-hit city. Officials said a second drone strike later targeted another vehicle involved in the aid distribution operation.

The attacks came amid intensified Russian air strikes across Ukraine that have killed at least 15 civilians over the past two days since Wednesday.

According to Ukrainian authorities, at least 20 people remain missing after a residential building in the capital Kyiv collapsed following a Russian missile strike. Rescue workers are continuing operations to search for survivors trapped beneath the rubble.

Ukraine’s defense forces described the recent offensive as one of the deadliest waves of attacks since the beginning of the war. Over the last 48 hours, Russian forces reportedly launched hundreds of drones and missiles targeting major Ukrainian cities, including Kyiv.

The strikes caused widespread destruction to civilian infrastructure, including electricity and communication systems, further worsening the humanitarian situation in several affected regions.
