Tehran, Jul 23 (V7N) – Iran has reiterated that it will respond forcefully to any attack on its territory or critical national infrastructure, as tensions in the Middle East continue to escalate.

According to Qatar-based broadcaster Al Jazeera, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi made the remarks in a post on social media on Wednesday (July 22).

"We will be forced to give a strong and decisive response to any aggression against Iran, including our national infrastructure," Araghchi said.

The Iranian foreign minister also warned that Tehran would consider any country or party directly involved in an attack on Iran—or providing any form of assistance for such an attack—as a legitimate target.

His comments come amid continued military exchanges and heightened tensions between Iran, the United States and their regional allies, raising concerns over the possibility of a wider conflict in the Middle East.

Iran has repeatedly maintained that it will defend its sovereignty and national interests against any external aggression.
