Gaza City, Aug 01 (V7N) – At least two Palestinians were killed and several others injured in a series of Israeli airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Friday, according to Anadolu Agency.
Witnesses said Mahmoud Mohammed Fatayer, 33, died after sustaining critical injuries in an Israeli strike on Abu Arif Street in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza. Another Palestinian, Mohammed Abdel Nasser al-Khatib, 38, was killed in a separate Israeli attack on Salah al-Din Street, northeast of Deir al-Balah.
Local sources said an Israeli drone also targeted civilians on Abu Arif Street, injuring two Palestinians. One of the wounded was reported to be in critical condition and was receiving medical treatment.
According to Al-Awda Hospital, at least 10 Palestinians were injured after an Israeli airstrike hit a residential building east of the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza.
Sources said Israeli warplanes destroyed the multi-storey building after intelligence officials reportedly contacted residents by phone and instructed them to evacuate the area before the strike.
Medical officials also reported that another Israeli airstrike destroyed a house south of Deir al-Balah, leaving several Palestinians injured.
In a separate incident, an Israeli drone targeted civilians in the Al-Maslah area west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, wounding several people, some of whom were said to be in critical condition.
Meanwhile, four more Palestinians were injured in an Israeli strike in the Al-Saftawi neighborhood of northern Gaza City.
The Israeli military had not immediately commented on the reported attacks or the casualties.
