Washington, Aug 12 (V7N)- US President Donald Trump’s press secretary Carolyn Levitt is set to leave her White House position at the end of this month, BBC News reported.

The 28-year-old official, who is considered one of Trump’s close aides, said she decided to step down to spend more time with her two children and family. She became a mother for the second time in May.

Levitt assumed the position of White House press secretary in 2025, becoming the youngest person ever to hold the post.

Trump praised Levitt on his social media platform, Truth Social, calling her one of the best press secretaries in White House history.

He said Levitt would remain one of his top advisers even after leaving the press secretary’s position and would continue to play an important role in the Republican Party.

However, the White House has not yet announced who will succeed Levitt as press secretary.
