New Delhi, Sep 14 (V7N)- The 18th BRICS Summit has concluded in New Delhi, bringing together leaders from 11 countries and highlighting the group’s message of unity, as well as the close ties among India, Russia and China.
Several notable moments were captured on camera during the summit, chaired by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Handshakes, embraces and light-hearted conversations between Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping reflected their cordial interactions.
Modi warmly welcomed his longtime ally Putin upon the Russian president’s arrival in Delhi for the summit. The two leaders were seen engaging in several friendly exchanges throughout the event.
Xi Jinping also received a warm welcome from Modi during his visit to India, his first in seven years. Against the backdrop of efforts by India and China to improve bilateral relations amid longstanding tensions, including a border dispute, their public display of warmth attracted particular attention.
