Amidst the relentless Israeli aggression in the besieged Palestinian territory of Gaza, a third mass grave has been unearthed, revealing the extent of brutality inflicted upon civilians. The discovery at al-Shifa Hospital adds to the grim toll of the conflict, with 49 bodies recovered so far.

Palestinian medical teams, operating under perilous conditions, made the chilling discovery of a mass grave at al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, as reported by Anadolu Agency on Thursday. The official media office in Gaza confirmed the findings, noting that the excavation efforts have yielded 49 bodies, with search operations ongoing.

The revelation comes amidst ongoing Israeli attacks on Gaza, which have persisted for over seven months. Since October 7 last year, the assault has claimed the lives of approximately 35,000 Palestinians, leaving over 78,500 injured. 

This marks the seventh mass grave discovered in Gaza, underscoring the harrowing toll exacted by the conflict. Alarming reports indicate similar findings at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis and Kamel Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza. In total, over 520 bodies have been recovered from these sites.

In response to the atrocities, Hamas, the governing authority in Gaza, has called for urgent international intervention. Condemning Israel's actions as criminal, Hamas urged human rights organizations to document the abuses and pursue justice through international legal mechanisms, including the International Criminal Court.

The discovery of yet another mass grave serves as a grim reminder of the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza and the urgent need for international action to halt the violence and hold perpetrators accountable.
